New Serenity provides a variety of personal care services to assist with the activities of daily living, giving you additional peace of mind and your family member the dignity and comfort he or she deserves.

Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease

One of the hardest tasks many families can take on is that of providing dementia home care services for an aging family member. Homecare agencies can help. It can be physically, mentally, and emotionally draining, especially as this difficult mental disorder continues to progress. Here at New Serenity Personal Care Services, we have specially trained caregivers who can come to your home ready, willing, and able to help.

Bathing and Hygiene

For many health and social reasons, good personal hygiene is very important. Our in-home personal caregivers are specially trained in bathing, personal hygiene, and other personal in-home care services, and always focus on preserving the dignity, comfort, and health of each client.

Transportation 

New Serenity Personal Care Services can help meet that need through its transportation services. If you don’t drive or you have a disability that makes accessing public transportation difficult, getting where you need to go can be a challenge and we can assist you with that.

Housekeeping

New Serenity Personal Care Service provides light housekeeping services as part of our in-home care plan to clean and organize the homes of our Clients. Our Caregivers will cover a range of light housekeeping duties and help sort through the clutter to keep the home neat and organized.  We are committed to maintaining a safe and clean home for all our Clients. 

Walking and Mobility

We recognize that our clients can benefit from regular movement both physically and mentally. Our caregivers carefully consider the physical limitations and comfort of each client’s ability to walk, climb stairs, get in and out of vehicles, and make other routine movements as they assist them.

Transfer and Posture Positioning 

In addition, to helping our clients with regular movement around the home or town, our personal care services also concentrate on making sure each client maintains proper posture when eating or while sitting and reading/ watching television. This helps to promote good digestion and circulation. We also assist clients with help getting in and out of bed or to the bathroom.  

Continence and Toileting Care

New Serenity Personal Care Services caregivers are trained and experienced in assisting with urinary and personal care. We understand the role that toileting care can play in a client’s comfort, self-esteem, and social life.

Special Diets and Meal Preparation

We work with clients, families, and nutrition professionals to plan and prepare meals according to the specific needs of our clients. This can include shopping for special diets (diabetic, low-sodium, low-trans fat, etc.) and working to fix favorite dishes just right.

Eating Assistance

Some of our clients may have physical and emotional challenges in their ability to perform basic functions. Our personal care services provide exceptional sensitivity, care, and safety for clients with these challenges.

Oral Hygiene

Our Caregivers can help our clients with mouth, gum, and denture care to encourage better overall oral hygiene.
